Cebu offers a great mix of beaches, waterfalls, mountains, marine life, and historic attractions. For a first-time visit, these five are excellent choices.

1. Kawasan Falls – Badian

Famous for its turquoise-blue pools, waterfalls, and canyoneering adventure. The Alegria–Badian canyoneering route is one of Cebu’s signature outdoor experiences.

Best for: Adventure, swimming, nature and photography.

2. Oslob Whale Sharks

Southern Cebu’s famous marine attraction lets visitors experience whale sharks in coastal waters.

Best for: Marine life, snorkeling and unforgettable experiences.

3. Moalboal Sardine Run

See huge schools of sardines moving together just offshore. Moalboal is also known for sea turtles and excellent snorkeling/diving.

Best for: Snorkeling, diving and underwater photography.

4. OsmeƱa Peak – Dalaguete

At approximately 1,013 meters above sea level, OsmeƱa Peak is Cebu’s highest point and offers spectacular views of the surrounding hills and coastline.

Best for: Hiking, sunrise and mountain photography.

5. Cebu City Heritage Area

For history and culture, visit Magellan’s Cross, Basilica Minore del Santo NiƱo, and Fort San Pedro. Cebu’s provincial government highlights these sites as important parts of the province’s heritage.

For a beach-focused trip, I’d swap the heritage area for Bantayan Island or Camotes Islands. Cebu’s tourism office specifically highlights Camotes’ Bukilat Cave and other island destinations as attractions.
